In reflecting on the game against Horsens, I am very satisfied with the tremendous defensive effort displayed by our team. Holding a great opponent to just 76 points is not an easy task, and limiting them to only 8% in three-point shooting says a lot about our defensive efforts. Our commitment to shutting down their offense was truly impressive.
One area where we also did great was on the boards. Winning the rebound battle is key to the flow of the game, and I’m proud of our players for their dedication and hustle in securing the rebound on both ends.
However, we had an issue with turnovers. While our defensive performance was good, turnovers were a factor that allowed too many easy baskets to Horsens and reduced our confidence. We need to take better care of the ball to be competitive in games.
I’m particularly happy with our second half. We kept Horsens in 12 points coming out of the locker room and we changed the pace of the game.
